Strohfelder® Platinum Original is made from 100% pure wheat straw.

It does not contain chemical or natural additives, such as perfumes, extracts, binding agents or similar. Attention! The additives mentioned above may develop allergic reactions in animals and people! Platinum Original is virtually dust-free. All dust and smallest particles that do not meet our highest standards of product quality are removed from the litter during production and packaging stages. All Strohfelder® beddings are heat-treated at temperatures reaching 120°C, which makes them probably the safest litters on the market. Also, possible mold, fungus, salmonella, Coli bacteria and other risk factors are eliminated from the bedding during heat treatment. Furthermore, high-temperature treatment ensures a low level of moisture in our products (~8%), resulting in better performance of Platinum Original compared to other manufacturers’ beddings with moisture levels exceeding 10% up to 14 %. Platinum Original absorbs more than 400% of moisture compared to its own weight. The bedding eliminates ammonia and absorbs its odour, thus significantly improving the feed conversion ratio (FCR). Strohfelder® Platinum Original has a neutral pH level (pH 7).

Platinum Original will not cause allergies to the birds, unlike other beddings, such as wood shavings, because there is absolutely no gum turpentine in Strohfelder® beddings, which could hurt the eyes of your birds and irritate their respiratory tract. Due to the neutral pH level of Platinum Original (pH 7), there will be fewer injuries of feet or alike, that are caused by too acidic or too alkaline litter, such as peat or wood shavings.

 

Strohfelder® Platinum Original binds the ammonia and eliminates its odour, which greatly increases the quality of indoor air. The amount of ammonia in the farm has a direct impact on the FCR (feed conversion ratio). The use of  Platinum Original will improve the FCR of your poultry. Also, this innovative bedding saves your time, because considerably less time and effort are required for spreading, cleaning or removing Platinum Original compared to other old-fashioned beddings. Naturally, the amount of waste will be reduced significantly. Used Strohfelder® Platinum Original decomposes in 2-3 months, making it a great fertilizer for the fields, orchards, meadows or as an excellent raw material for biogas plants.

BROILERS
Consumption of Platinum Original in broiler farms is about 1 kg/m , which is sufficient for the entire growing period (approx. 35-42 days), ensuring clean and dry floor all along. No need to add or replace the litter during the whole growing cycle.

 

 

LAYING HENS

Consumption of Platinum Original in laying hens’ farms is about 6-12 kg/m , which is sufficient for the entire growing period (approx. 200-356 days), ensuring clean and dry floor all along. No need to add or replace litter during the whole growing cycle.

 

 

TURKEYS

Consumption of Platinum Original in turkeys’ farms is about 10-12 kg/m , which is sufficient for the whole growing period (approx. 75-120 days), ensuring clean and dry floor all along. No need to add or replace litter during the entire growing cycle. It will be the only time you spread litter during the birds growing season!

DUCKS, GEESE AND OTHER POULTRY

You can use Platinum Original as bedding in virtually any poultry farm. The amount of bedding to be used should be decided based on the specifics of your estate and previous bedding usage habits; however, we recommend to use at least 2-8 kg/m .
